Whether your exit is on Google’s Gemini lists (the web app and the API are judged separately), and whether gemini.google.com responds.Google offers no public way to read the IP it sees, so Gemini is judged by the exit that opened this site, plus a reachability test. FAQ
Where is Gemini not available?
On Google’s list (checked 30 September 2026) mainland China is Workspace-only, so personal accounts don’t count. Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan are listed. The list changes; see Google’s help page.
The web app works, but the API or AI Studio says my region isn’t supported
Google publishes one list for the web app / mobile app and another for the Gemini API / AI Studio. As of 1 October 2026 Hong Kong and Macau are on the web list but not on the API list, so the Gemini card shows both. If your code runs on a server, run curl ipjudge.org there to see its exit.
My exit is in a supported region but Gemini still refuses
Often IPv6 takes another route that skips the proxy — see the IPv6 check. The Google account’s own country can also matter; that we can’t see.
